Where to send what
Everything reaches the same inbox, but telling us which of these you are writing about, and including what is listed, means a quicker and more useful reply. If you want to add something to the portal rather than ask about it, the Contribute page has its own routes.
Request data
Most of the portal is already downloadable. For what is not, including exact localities, which are withheld as a matter of policy, there is a request form.
Researchers, agency staff, conservation practitioners, and land managers are all welcome to ask.
Using an image
Images are All Rights Reserved unless stated otherwise, and some belong to photographers rather than to us. Educational and non-profit use is usually granted at no cost.
Include the species, the intended use, and where it will appear.
A site concern
If something here puts a cave or a species at risk, or you are a landowner who would prefer a cave name not to appear, write and we will withhold it while we look into it.
Tell us the page and the concern. Dealt with before anything else.
Anything else
Questions about the data, collaborations, media enquiries, or a problem using the site.
Accessibility reports get a reply within five working days.
Adding something to the portal
Corrections, new species, photographs, observations, references, and opportunities all have their own routes, and each takes a few minutes.

We are a small team and reply as we can. Corrections and site concerns are dealt with first.
